genius. ur the man
thanx man your a really intresting person u have help me a lot thanx
I was an insomniac for the longest time. The trick I found is to head up to bed at 10 and READ A BOOK. It makes your eyes tired and you’ll be out in less than 20 pages. AND you read books so it’s a win win. I agree about the lights too. Bright lights are often used to reset people’s clocks on long flights. Ever notice that you don’t have as much jetlag on a night time flight than you do if you take a day time flight?
how do i know how much body fat % i have????????i have no clue thanks
okay I just discovered your videos and have been working my way through them, I was going to stay up and watch more but its 10:30 so I’m swritching everything off and going to bed…
I’ll watch more tomorrow.
Thanks Sean,
You Rock!
Thank you so much for being honest no matter what!! I love that about your videos plus your funny as well and not dull and boring while I am taking it all in keep it coming !!
This is the first video that I have seen that I think that he is making a mountain out of a mole hill. I don’t think that this sleep cycle thing is as big a deal as he things it is. The human body has tremendous adaptabilities. Why would a change in sleep cycle make that big a difference.
Hi rarezas, after a heavy workout all I want to do is eat and have a very good sleep. I dont not like seeing dreams at all whether they are good or bad ones. Once u do metta meditation for 15 mins i dont see any dreams. you wake up refreshed energetic and very happy. your body feels like u r on clouds..if i dont do the metta and sleep i feel crap when woke up..try it for ur self man..” metta meditation”
@AryaSravaka heaven does not exist and have you even been there
@Namcap01 Not anytime soon. There has only been about 4 or 5 generations that have lived with a large amount of high intensity artificial ambient light. We may need to wait a couple hundred more years before our bodies really change to this modern environment. However, if different people procreate that live with different amounts of light at different times, there may not be any evolution, or evolution into a human that is very adapt at highly variable light cycles.
Quit!
When are we Cave People going to Evolve? Because every living organism needs to change in order to survive regardless how many hours of sleep we get.
i agree with this. i was hardly getting any sleep all week. during that week, i was in an enclosed space with someone who was coughing like crazy. by that night i was sick.
This 10-6 sleep doesn’t make sense. If a persons biological clock is set to sleep from 12-8 it should just do the “repair” cycles a little later… It doesn’t matter if I sleep two hours earlier or later.
I don’t get this video. So in summer, when the sun is up until 12 should i still go to sleep at 10? I can’t…because i’m not tired then.
that could have a lot more to do with a HUGE leap faward in medicines. and people get a better rounded nutrition. (i know ppl eat garbage now, but it wasnt that long ago that people couldnt afford meat often and a lot of diet was bread and wheat based)
Rage, rage against the dying of the light~Thomas
What about if you work a Night Shift ?
I like the video but you can’t really say that health has been negatively impacted by the lightbulb since we now live on average 33 years longer then the year (1879) that the light bulb was invented.
hehe..do “metta “meditation before u sleep and u will sleep like in heaven
Well, the sun goes down at around 6. Your body can sense this. And your body can sense the passage of time. 10pm is about 4 hours after the sun goes down. I haven’t done any research on this, but everyone suggests bed at 10, so It seems like it takes your body 4 hours to wind down and get ready for sleeping.
Its not that you body is like “Ohp, its 10:00!”. Your body can sense passage of time and light.
I totally believe this… when I fall asleep with the lights on, I feel like total crap the next day! I just never put two and two together…
@FM897 You have a biological clock and your body is sensitive to light. Your exposure to light can alter your biological clock. That is why it is said that you need to sleep in COMPLETE DARKNESS otherwise you will compromise your health and the efficiency of our sleep.
also Dr Lorraine Day cancer cure speaks also about the key to treating and curing cancer is sleeping especially between 10-2 am !
wht if u take meltoin will that help in your weight loss ?
Body building with weights IS unnatural, but so is our sedentary lifestyle. To counteract that, we have to work out. Since we’re not constantly hunting for our own food, building shelter by hand, etc. we have to do other things to keep in shape. Basically, our physiology is similar to our cavemen ancestors but our current lifestyle is completely different.
