Demoras: You are 100% correct. The calorie count vs carb count is such an important element (not that we HAVE to count!). One can eat a candy bar at 360 calories or a healthy meal at 360 calories and experience a MUCH different result in body fat content. I’m always disappointed when a program tries to claim otherwise.

  2. aleterra says:

I don’t count calories, I just eat healthy unprocessed foods, mostly raw, and lose weight naturally without being hungry or counting calories.

  3. tryingtodissappear1 says:

if your on that tigh of a diet
if you have no room for extras
if you aaaaalways do the same things everydy
and you eat like a machine
and you move the same amunt day in
    day out
then yes this video is pure truth

  4. Kensei1234 says:

if your caloric deficit is low 300-400kcal. can be a huge difference

  5. Orangeification18 says:

Seriously if your eating healthy and excercise 300 or 400 calories over isnt so bad. this is so stupid.

  6. Demoras says:

While counting calories works in theory, what is even more important and effective than just ocunting calories is eating the right foods. An X amount of calories of fat is much worse than eating an equal amount of calories of protein, for example. A calorie is just an (old) unit for energy. It doesn’t incluse anything regarding metabolism. This is very important to remember.

Eat healthy. A very important factor. There’s much more to weightloss than just counting :)

    That should work okay. Hwoarang92

    What up Leigh? ;)

Great video! Great illistration on how every little thing counts! It adds up at the end of the day, and will just make weight loss that much harder.

I’ve been reading some of the comments, and… yeah, you can lose weight without accurately measuring your food… Or, even measuring at all… But, you’re just making it that much harder on yourself if you don’t know what/how much you’re eating, and that’s the point I believe Leigh was trying to illistrate.

  10. MagicWonder425 says:

Actually, the calorie model has its flaws.

Take for example steroids. Mass is being created despite the only thing changing are your hormonal levels.

  11. hwoarang92 says:

For the peanut butter, I use a knife to level it off with the spoon… Is this more accurate or should it be under the rim? :(

  12. snspinelli says:

I appreciate the point of this video, since so many people drastically underestimate the amount they are eating. But does the “average” person really put that much in a measuring cup or spoon? I know *I* don’t! I’m not saying you’re wrong, by any means. I’m just curious what made you decide that it’s what most people do.

  13. jennpitts18 says:

the measuring cup you used was one for liquids. that’s why it was SO much more when you put a little more on the top. i doubt the difference would be THAT big of a difference if you had used the right measuring cup. but, i give you props for the point in this video because its so true.

  14. Chaaarge says:

that’s bullshit. To lose fat you still need to create a calorie deficit. the reason the people on this diet lost weight was that they created that deficit and actually ate less because protein supresses your apetite.

  15. Hustada says:

It makes sense, alot of people probably dont really now how much they are really eating. Especially with foods that are more dense in calories. Certain foods having more calories per portion size than other so even if it looks like a little it maybe a lot.

  16. ajeeb302 says:

The best thing I liked about this video is its music lol. Inspiring :)

  17. omhealer says:

Simple mind. You will look the same and never change your body. You need to stop thinking calories and measuring. Females get fat and skinny at the same time because they dont want muscles. You are retarded. These videos keep people down.

  18. CarolineK250 says:

OMG I can’t believe some of the comments on this video! Love the fact you approve them just to give yourself a laugh! I’m just posting this on my blog now, as I love it…

  19. EATPROTEINgetHUGeRus says:

again, if your lack of progress is due to overscooping a little bit here and there, you were not going to be losing fat in the first place. why? Metabolism and hormones probably are way to low and that person has way larger problems to worry about, the overscooping is the least of their worries.
your body doesnt get a pad of paper and a calculator out at the end of the day and start doing calculations for body compo management. anobolism and cat. are a continuel thing and can change on dime

  20. Fatlosstroubleshoot says:

If you actually did any research then you would not that the activity levels for the average person has dropped significantly. Even 10x bodyweight is no longer an extreme deficit for a lot of people these days.

For some people these things are not an issue, for other it can mean the difference between a life of frustration and results.

Don’t miss the bigger picture of the delivery either. If you can be this off with measurements, imagine with eyeballing.

  21. EATPROTEINgetHUGeRus says:

Really, if your progress comes down to over scooping, its your metabolism that has problems becuase you dont know what you are doing.

using numbers and calculators for calories is pointless as well.

keep researching. you have much to learn.

  22. EATPROTEINgetHUGeRus says:

this is retarded. worrying about scoop size is like trying to piss on an asteroid in hopes of stopping it. I gave this video 1 star just for that.

  23. lollie69 says:

    inaccurate quote mate

  24. lollie69 says:

how would you know? This is a stupid comment. Most scales have cups that are so light they do not register on the scale. Mine do anyway. Any decent scales will, and chefmate is top of the range so….

  25. joshhillis says:

Oh come on now, you actually read the comments people leave you? I mean, on a blog is one thing, but reading your comments on YouTube is masochistic.

I mean seriously, no one who’s left a ignorant comment like that has ever sent an after picture with it =)

Anyway, I think this is the best video of all time. I want to shout the url from the rooftops.

And I think FLzine is really kick ass.
